We, blossomed.
Perhaps very few of you knew that this project started brewing as early as last year between Chia and me.
The Blossomy Boxes Pop-ups were a lot more than we expected. You killed it the graphic design @_ziggy.arts_ , desserts, cocktails and the venues πππ
To accommodate our busy guests, we couldn't skip a daytime pop-up for those early birds to get their desserts freshly. Tom N Toms Coffee Galleria , as always, takes fantastic care of us. Shoutout to the leading staff, Gloria , for allowing us to mess around with the kitchen and the table display!
Not only did we intend to start the year with a grand entry, but we also wanted this to be something that reminds us of our hometowns. Growing up in Taiwan, herbs and floral elements were so often present in desserts that we wish to recreate that memory. Furthermore, we reimagined it with the help of many local talents, including @hellodoryy @skmpastries @bigmacstx @miasgoodiestx @momobakescake @sweets.and.saffron @briansbitchinbakeryofficial
The final piece of the puzzle came into place with the help of Jai introducing us to Idle Hands Houston. We've always known that we wanted one of the pop-ups to take place in a bar because we don't like people telling us what we should or can do.
Since we are too old to have fairy godmothers granting wishes, we braved up to pitch the floral cocktail and mocktail concept to Idle Hands Houston's management. Despite all odds, they gave us the green light and welcomed us to take over the entire first floor with our arrangements.
Moreover, their outstanding Bar Managers, Mario and Joey, presented us with a menu beyond our imagination.
We cannot thank Idle Hands Houston enough for their mixologists taking such good care of us with genuine hospitality.
After the pop-up, we had familiar faces and newcomers sharing the space while indulging in floral drinks, desserts, and quality time. It was such a beautiful scene, with the air filled with laughter and conversations.
If that's a small win, we will seize whatever we can.
