It's crazy to think that we've come a long way since the first time I approached Ube Co. HTX via social media. If I didn't reach out to Jai, the co-owner of Ube Co. HTX last year for BobaFanatic sponsorship, we wouldn't have learned how good their ube tarts are. If they didn't agree to sponsor us, then my followers wouldn't have been able to order these deliciousness for their wedding. Then their pop-up event with burger-chan and Click Virtual Food Hall wouldn't have occurred and blown up on social media!

Just like every terrible thing that took place in my life, good people create a chain effect too; especially when a group of creative people get together, we don't know how to help ourselves from going overboard.

Jai is a true giver. I have not known anyone matching her level of benevolence. As a shameless marketer, I am very used to people slamming their rejections on my face. Do I ever get bitter? Yeah, I am not gonna lie, sometimes. However, Jai surprises me with her generosity and extraness that whenever I pitch her an idea, she goes above and beyond to support me. I am not sure what I did to earn her support, but it seems like I must have done something right. No matter if it's about sponsorships, donating to a good cause, or trying to support the AAPI community. You name it. She would rush to your needs.

Little did I know we would become business partners and friends! Ube Co. HTX was there for BOBAMAS, BobaFanatic, Lunartine's Box, and now for our next box. I wouldn't hesitate for a second if you were to ask me where to get the best damn ube desserts in Houston. It would probably always be Ube Co. HTX for me. They make the best ube tarts in town that melt in your mouth with indescribable silkiness. Now they got me hooked with the best ube scones in town.

For people who've known me, I'm notoriously picky and conservative about my food options. I refuse most dairy products in my life, but I braved up to try their tarts and those were effing amazing. She dropped by the other day to drop off some props she borrowed from friends and insisted to feed me with her ube goodies. They were dangerously addictive. They had me thinking about that ube scone the entire night before falling into my long weekend slumber.

I am happy that I followed my gut feeling and crossed paths with Jai and her partner. It is very likely that I will be continuously owing even more favors than I could count with my digits. I'd forever be in debt to them and odd enough to say, that makes me a very blessed person.
